The Ehsaas program, initiated by the Government of Pakistan in 2008, has played a crucial role in supporting and providing financial assistance to those affected by various challenges, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic difficulties. This program initially provided Rs. 2,000 per month to help the poor, and it has since been adapted to address changing circumstances.
In response to inflation and the evolving needs of the population, the government increased the Ehsaas program’s installment to 9,000 rupees every three months. This adjustment aims to alleviate financial burdens and provide much-needed support to vulnerable individuals and families.
The Ehsaas program encompasses various initiatives, including the provision of rations, educational scholarships, and financial assistance through programs like the Ehsaas Ration Program, the Ehsaas Educational Scholarship Program, and the Ehsaas Kafalat Program. These programs collectively aim to uplift and empower disadvantaged communities by providing them with essential resources and opportunities.
The government’s ongoing efforts to improve and expand the Ehsaas program demonstrate a commitment to addressing the needs of the most vulnerable segments of society and promoting social and economic well-being.
Ehsaas Kafalat program
The Ehsaas Kafalat program, launched by the Government of Pakistan in 2019, serves a vital role in providing financial assistance to disadvantaged individuals in the country. This program has been especially significant in light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in job losses and economic hardships for many people.
Initially, the Ehsaas Kafalat program provided a monthly installment of two thousand rupees to support those in need. However, recognizing the ongoing impact of inflation and the evolving needs of the population, the government adjusted the program to provide nine thousand rupees every three months. This modification aimed to offer more substantial assistance to vulnerable individuals and families and alleviate the financial burdens caused by rising prices.
The Ehsaas program has been instrumental in addressing the economic challenges faced by the less privileged, and the government continues to make efforts to enhance its impact and support those in need, including disabled persons who are an important part of the program’s beneficiaries.

How to Registration In Ehsaas Disable Person
It’s important to note that in the Punjab region, individuals with disabilities can apply for assessment and registration through the District Officer of Social Welfare in their respective districts. The objective is to support persons with disabilities and provide them with the necessary rehabilitation and assistance to improve their quality of life and integration into society.
Persons with disabilities who have been assessed by the District Assessment Board as unable to work and without a source of income are eligible for various forms of rehabilitation, including medical training, through the District Rehabilitation Training Committee. The goal is to empower them to gain skills and eventually secure employment or participate in activities that contribute to their well-being and social inclusion.
Under the Disabled Persons Employment and Rehabilitation Ordinance 1981, District Rehabilitation and Training Committees operate across 36 districts of Punjab, working to assess and rehabilitate disabled individuals based on the nature of their disabilities. This includes providing free medical treatment, prostheses, wheelchairs, hearing aids, and other necessary support.
Furthermore, the VIPs (Visually Impaired Persons) registration system has been initiated to assist visually impaired individuals. These efforts align with the government’s commitment to supporting disabled persons and ensuring their participation in social and economic activities, as well as their inclusion in programs like the Ehsaas program.
